Abstract;The titled hotel with 32 stories above ground and 515 guest rooms which was opened in 1996 set cogeneration facilities with 3 gas engines of the city gas fuel 415kW as a dual-purpose normal power generating and disaster prevention facilities. Steam is generated by a waste heat boiler by engine exhaust gas, the hot water is made by recoverying the heat of the engine cooling water, and the cold heat is obtained by a steam absorption refrigerator. It is operated with the power purchase suppressed so as to feed the 72% of the all electric power load in 1997, cover the 49% of the thermal load, and attain 70% of the average yearly combined efficiency.
