| Abstract;This paper introduces cogeneration facilities by biogas installed in Yagi Bioecology Center in Yagi Town, Kyoto Prefecture. Yagi town established the center where methane is fermented from animal manure and installed 2 gas engine generators of output 70kW using the generated methane gas. The heat of the gas engine combustion gas and the cooling water is recovered through a heat exchanger as hot water. The completion ceremony was perofrmed in July, 1996. This project got a subsidy of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and there is the movement of promoting the utilization of the biogas power generation in future. |
