Abstract; Two demonstrations for purifying the water using photovoltaic power generated electric power were performed and this paper introduces the experiment performed in Mitsugi Park in corporation with Itabashi Ward, Tokyo from the May, 1998. A doughnut-shaped float of the diameter approximately10m was floated in a natural pond, a structure having water purification equipment and DC power supply equipment was mounted thereon, and a solar cell panel of 5kW in total was installed on the structure roof. A lead storage battery is provided thereon, and the power generated in the daytime can be stored and controlled by a computer. Cases of the operation records are also introduced.
