Abstract; This paper outlines the inspection of the actual conditions of cogeneration in 4 nations of Europe. In the Rheihafen No.4 plant in Germany, repowering of coal fired power generation is performed using gas turbines GT26 adopting sequential combustion. In the HeijkraftWerkmitte power plant, heat supply by combined cycle power generation is made. The Netherlands Gastec Co. supplies natural gas for small-scale cogeneration. The mission also visited The Cogen Europe, the world-largest super power plant using urban waste which has advanced the popularization of cogeneration in Belgium.
