| Abstract;An experimental observation system for taking coronal images in the green line (Fe XIV 5803.ANGS.) was constructed on the 25 cm coronagraph of the Norikura Solar Observatory. By re-arranging the birefringent elements and equipping rotating waveplates on a Lyot filter, we were able to obtain images in coronal green-line and sky continuum with a high time cadence. It is shown that this system can provide a powerful tool for diagnosing the physical processes in coronal transient phenomena. The system is the prototype of the Norikura Green-line Imaging System which will be described in the subsequent paper. (author abst.) |
