| Abstract;Diamond wire-saws (DWS) have recently been used for cutting of reinforced concrete, etc. even in Japan. They were originally used for cutting out of raw ores for stone materials in Europe, but they rapidly spread because of features such as that work is possible in narrow places, that noise is low and vibration is less, that complicated shapes can also treated in a soft and flexible manner, and that underwater work is possible. Regarding DWS, this paper presents and explains the structure, a cutting method, examples of cutting, and safety measures during cutting work. |
