| Abstract; The earliest activity of nuclear analytical technique (NAT) in China can be traced back to the early fifties, much later than in the developed countries. However, since the first nuclear reactor and low-energy accelerator was put into operation in 1958, the NAT had experienced a rapid growth period, which was characterized of establishment of various NAT methods and their extensive applications in multidisciplinary fields. Recently, the Chinese government has defined six national goals as a guideline of major research direction, i.e. agriculture, human health, environment, energy and resources, materials, and information, which are becoming a strong impetus to the development of NAT. In this paper, some latest achievements of NAT in China will be briefly outlined. (author abst.) |
