Abstract; The conversion between anti and syn isomer of [ReO(KYCAR)] are investigated with emphasis on its kinetics. Because the reaction rate increased with increasing pH, a base catalytic reaction was assumed. The reaction rate was independent of the concentration of the anti isomer ([anti]) when [anti] was extremely higher than the concentration of hydroxide ion. This result indicates the existence of a reaction intermediate in this conversion process. (author abst.)
