| Abstract;In order to investigate the muon catalyzed d-t fusion cycle precisely, we calculated the binding energies, structures and nuclear fusion rates of the (tt.MU.)+ molecule. Because the nuclear fusion are strongly depends on the wave function at the origin where the two nuclei contact each other, high accuracy treatment is required in the calculation of the wave functions. For this purpose, we used the "non-adiabatic coupled channel method" which is suited for describing short range corection of the three body systems. Eight-digit-accuracy in the calculation of eigenenergy of the muonic molecule was requied to get converged nuclear fusion rate. (author abst.) |
