Abstract;Instrumentional neutron and photon activation analyses (INAA and IPAA) were applied to determine minor and trace elements in 6 organs (brain, liver, kidneys, parcreas, eyeball, bone) and blood samples of 1,6 and 53 weeks old C57BL/6N mice. Ten elements (Cl, Na, Ca, Mg, Mn, Zn, Rb, Br, Mo, Sr) were determined by IPAA and 12 elements (Cl, Na, K, Br, Mg, Mn, Fe, Co, Se, Mo, Zn, Rb) were determined by INAA. The INAA and IPAA results were cross-checked. Some significant variations of the elemental concentration patterns were assessed in terms of specificities of organs and degenerative changes due to aging. Both INAA and IPAA are found to be useful for the studies on the biobehavior of trace elements. (author abst.)
