| Abstract;Feasibility of application of the multidimensional g ray spectroscopy for analytical chemistry was examined. Two reference igneous rock (JP-1, JB-1a) samples issued by the Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ) were irradiated at a research reactor with thermal neutrons, and g rays from the radioisotopes produced by neutron capture reactions were measured using a g-ray detector array. Simultaneously 27 elements were observed without chemical separation. Although there are no previous data for contents of bromine in the JP-1 and JB-1a samples, bromine in the both samples were detected for the first time in this study. (author abst.) |
