| Abstract; The investigation project called the Genesis mission has been gone on with led by NASA. The mission is that the spacecraft will be launched from Earth in 2001, will collect solar wind and will obtain solar elemental abundances. High purity Si metal will be used as collector assays to collect solar wind. In this study, we evaluated high purity Si metal used as collector assays. We measured the concentration of impurities in high purity Si metal, especially Selenium and rare earth element, and calculated areas of high purity Si metal required to quantitate solar wind by Radiochemical Neutron Activation Analysis.
