Abstract;Liposome is considered as beneficial membrane model. However, we have to overcome many problems when we employ liposomes as useful materials in biotechnology and medicine. For this purpose, we have developed several functional liposome and made biosimulation using them; namely (i) coating of the outermost surface of liposome with functional polysaccharides, (ii) simulation of multivalent effect in biorecognition, (iii) effective reconstitution of membrane proteins into liposome, (iv) liposome-cell fusion, and (v) effective antigen presentation.
