| Abstract;A series of dendrimer iron porphyrin dioxygen adducts with different sizes were synthesized. The large dendrimer framework functions as a light-harvesting antenna for infrared photons, and channels the energy into the focal point. Infrared radiation can convert the dioxygen adduct in a large dendrimer framework into an oxoiron(IV) porphyrin, which oxygenated styrene quantitatively. Therefore, the present finding provides a new approach to artificial photosynthesis by infrared light with molecular oxygen. (author abst.) |
