| Abstract;Recently it has been reported that cell behavior can be regulated not only by chemical modification of substrates but also by micromorphology of substrates surface. We have already found that mesoscopic honeycomb patterned surfaces are formed in cast films of amphiphilic compounds by casting a dilute solution of amphiphiles in humid atmosphere. We report herein on: the preparation of honeycomb patterne films containing active ester or biotin residues, immobilization of gelatins onto these honeycomb patterned films, immobilization of biotin onto honeycomb holes.
