Abstract;Qigong(Kikou) is a method of self-control that has been refined during several thousand years of Chinese history, and in which vital energy(qi) is recruited and harmonized by means of four regulation methods that aim mainly at regulation of the mind and that consist of regulation of the mind, regulation of the breath, regulation of the body, and regulation of meals. Lapsing into a state of quiet relaxation, which is considered the significant point of qigong, is itself a barrier to entrance into qigong, and it is a parameter of the extent of mastering qigong. The author tried to describe the following matters concerning the state of quiet relaxation in qigong: I. On lapsing into a state of quiet relaxation II. Effects of lapsing into quiet relaxation III. Ways of lapsing into quiet relaxation(a visual hallucination method and cry utterance method). (author abst.)
