Abstract; We propose a diagnosis method of a small satellite, which uses several sensors and a space robot. As the sensors for the diagnosis of a solar paddle, a sonic sensor, a laser range finder and an image sensor were used. The advantages of this system are: (1) the inspected position can be selected, (2) the inspecting method can be selected, (3) several kinds of sensors are available for one malfunction, and (4) a human can be intervened. We present a diagnosis concept and show some experimental results. (author abst.)
