Abstract;It becomes clear by using AML1 transcriptional factor gene deficient knockout mice that primary embryo-type hematopoietic cells are differentiated from mesodarmal progenitor cells, and secondary adult-type hematopoietic cells are differentiated from vascular endothelial cells. The form of vascular endothelia is evidently required for the hemopoietic stem cells in the process of development to obtain multipotency. This paper describes first recent knowledges on ontogeny of hematopoietic system, and discusses next the role of AML1 in the developmental processes.
