Abstract;After experiencing the change from machnical wrist watch to quartz type watch, and in continuation the rapid diversification of product, Seiko Epson Co. established in 1998 the titled engineering junior college school, in order to nurture engineers who can cope with such diversification of product and skilled workers who can satisfactorily maintain the highly automated equipment. The goal of talent nurturing in there is "nurturing of creative engineers and skilled workers". The age group of students is very wide (20-32 years old). Among the practical training in the curriculum, there are: on-task practical training, selective practical training, and independent activity. Here, the latter two are explained in detail. Moreover, the pieces of work which were made in the framework of such practical training, are shown.
