| Abstract;Radio paging is widely used as one of the most convenient mobile communication systems. The performance of the radio paging terminals has been improved by applying various techniques developed to meet the requirements such as the reduction of the volume, the weight and the power consumption, and higher performance under limited operational conditions. In this paper, the background and technical problems concerning the realization of higher performance of radio paging terminals are discussed, and techniques to improve the performances of built in antenna, a digitalization method of demodulation circuit and a method to predict the bit error rate caused by the impulsive noise are proposed.
