Abstract;Pucherite from the Wagu mine, Fukushima Prefecture, occurs as a secondary Bi-mineral and forms euhedral crystals and crusts on pegmatitic feldspar ore. It is orange in color with adamantine luster. The representative chemical analysis by EPMA gave Bi2O3 72.41, V2O5 27.93, Total 100.34 wt. %, yielding the empirical formula Bi1.01V1.00O4 On the basis of O=4. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern is indexed on orthorhombic cell with a=5.338 (2), b=5.072 (2), c=12.04 (1) .ANGS.. (author abst.)
