| Abstract;An annular permanent-magnet linear alternator of 100W class electrical output was tested with a future target toward a large-size power model. The electrical output of 100W was obtained for a design operating condition with a 22mm stroke at the highest operating speed. In the alternator testing the magnet plunger was directly connected to a motor-driven moving mechanism. The linear alternator is composed plunger with three poles permanent-magnet ring, power coil, inner yoke and outer yoke. We try to improve of a linear alternator by two methods; 1) from two poles to four poles 2) segment of yoke to 12 segments or 24 segments. (author abst.) |
