Abstract;Chloroplast nucleoid is a gigantic complex of chloroplast DNA bound with various proteins. Its molecular structure, composition and morphology remarkably change in accordance with development of chloroplast. This paper introduces recent knowledges on nucleoid elucidated by the study on the components of chloroplast nucleoid. Though chloroplast DNA is derived from procaryote origin, many of DNA binding proteins are similar to DNA binding proteins in cell nuclei derived from eukaryote origin. The changes of the molecular structures of the eukaryote-procaryote hybrid through the development of peas are described.
