| Abstract;Ophiopogon gracilipes Craib is transferred to Peliosanthes and P. gracilipes(Craib) N. Tanaka is proposed as a new combination. This species is new to southwest Thailand. Peliosanthes subcoronata N. Tanaka is described as new from Laos. This species is noteworthy in its minute subcoronal appendage at the base of the perianth lobes, the epipetalous stamens, the basifixed anthers with short filaments, and the confluent thecae. The prominent corona seen in other species of Peliosanthes is absent in P. subcoronata. (author abst.) |
