| Abstract; For the examination of the mechanism by which the nerve cell extends its axon along the right route, and selects its target specfically, the neuromuscular combination of Drosophila becomes an excellent model. In this report, the authors introduced a membrane protein Capricious (CAPS)which manifests with a small number of nerve cells and their target muscle. Analysis of the CAPS-deleted mutant and heterotopia expression body was conducted and the role in the neural circuit net formation of this molecule was investigated with the result that CAPS proved tohave been functioning in the important step of the neural circuit net formation such as the axon route selection, specific target recognition etc. |
