| Abstract;A molecular mechanism of the projection map observed in the various regions of the nervous system is on the way of elucidation. Since the optic system (retina opic tectum projection system) of vertebrates such as the bird and amphibia etc. is experimentally easy to approach, it is being well studied. Recently, a fringe of the formation mechanism of this projection map has become to be recognized by the analysis of Eph-ephrin molecule group etc. regarded as a candidate of the position labelled molecule advocated by Sperry. In the present report, the authors outlined, focusing on the recent knowledge and information obtained by the molecular biological analysis using the chicken and mouse. |
