Abstract;Prolactin is known in various kinds of action, such as activation of immune system cells and eletrolyte metabolim control etc., besides mammary gland growth andlactation promoting action. In the present report, the authors introduced the nurture action by the direct action of prolactin for the brain and the stress-resistant induction mechanism. Prolactin is involved in the nerve circuit formation of the nurture behavior, although it has been proved that prolactin alone is not indispensable in the action manifestation through the experiment of the knockout mouse. It has also been clarified that prolactin privents stress gastric ulcer through CRF neurones and the automatic nervous system etc.
