Abstract; There is a wide range of opinion on how seriously Year 2000 (Y2K) problems will impact computer systems all over the world, but it does acknowledge that there is a very real potential for some problems. In our hospital many computer systems are introduced to every divisions and are in operation. All the applications on these systems are already remediated and the remediation testing for Y2K on every computer systems are executed individually. Then we planed and executed the overall testing for Y2K under operating hospital information systems including the interaction between applications or computer systems in each divisions, the supply chains, and Y2K exposures by setting the system date and time to critical point. All the Y2K testing are successfully carried out and the system clock was setted and resetted without causing the loss of those system resources and functions. Here we report on the process of our Y2K project and the result of our Y2K testing. (author abst.)
