Abstract;Chromosomes number and pollen morphorogy was observed in Chinese kale and some groups of Brassica oleracea. 1. The chromosomes number of Chinese kale was 2n=18. There was no difference between the chromosomes number of cultivar with white petals and that of cultivar with yellow petals in Chinese kale. Chinese kale was the same as Brassica oleracea in the chromosomes number of root-tip. 2. The pollen grains of Chinese kale were prolate, tricolpate and reticulate. There was no difference between the pollen morphorogy of Chinese kale cultivars. The pollen morphorogy of Chinese kale approximately coincided with that of Brassica oleracea. (author abst.)
