Abstract;Dose-complication probability model of the rectum has been calculated using the DVHs of the patients with prostate cancer treated by carbon ions of the HIMAC. End point of the rectum was grade 2 reaction(RTOG) and the dose of the rectum was presented by the highest 10% volume dose in cumulated DVH. Estimated equation was: P=1-1/(1+EXP(-15.0582+0.1924*D) Where P is a probability of grade 2 reaction and D is a dose of the rectum at highest 10% volume dose in rectal DVH. Dose delivering 50% probability of grade 2 rection was 78 GyE. (author abst.)
