Abstract;A 10-year-old boy had taken zonisamide for epilepsy since August 1997. From June 1998 he noticed that his skin was dry and he seldom sweated. As he became feverish and felt general fatigue, he visited and entered our hospital. He took high dosage of zonisamide and his blood concentrations of it was very high. After he stopped taking zonisamide, he became to be able to sweat. We suggest that zonisamide induces hidropoietic disorder reversibly and that it is possibly caused by blocks of ion channel.
