| Abstract;Since Asian patients have thick epidermis and thick fatty tissues in the palpebra, 80% of them have a single eyelid. Various surgeries have been performed to create clear eyes with a palpebral fold. Among them, I introduce a double blepharoplasty that can be performed in an easy manipulating manner in a short period of time. The operative procedure is quite simple; suture the conjunctiva in the center of the superior palpebra through the tarsus to the dermis with one single suture. The patient can have a normal daily life such as make-up and bathing immediately after the operation. Moreover, the scar is not conspicuous. This operative method ensures a good, stable result not only for the beginning surgeons but also for surgeons of all skill levels. (author abst.) |
