Abstract;Nodules often occur in the earlobe after ear piercing. In this paper, we report the histopathologic findings of nine cases in which punch excision was performed for the treatment of earlobe nodules. Pathologic diagnosis was one case of epidermal cyst, three cases of ruptured epidermal cyst, three cases of granulomatous contact dermatitis, and two cases of chronic dermatitis. The combined therapy of punch excision utilizing a trepan with a small diameter(2mm to 3mm) and silicone tubes is effective for the treatment of earlobe nodules induced by ear piercing, regardless of the size of nodules.
