Abstract; We report a case of allergic contact dermatitis from a face powder composed of several herbs. A 33-year-old female developed pruritic eczema on her face 2 days after changing cosmetics. At her first visit to our clinic, pruritic erythema was seen on her face. We performed patch testing with cosmetics and daily necessaries. Patch testing revealed positive reactions to the face powder and puff used by the patient. Aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, sapindus mukurossi, ingredients of the face powder, also showed positive reactions. (author abst.)
