| Abstract;At first, this paper describess the derivation of the language, CALS ( continuous acquisition of life cycle support ), and then, it discusses the usefulness of space CALS on manufacturing support fields ( design, manufacturing, test evaluation, operation, and disposal/reuse ) by the following items: 1) Backgrounds of requiring CALS ( strategy of " faster, lower price, and better things" and spacecraft accidents, frequent occurrence of failure, challenges to electronicization mainly on CAD, design and production examples of space combustion experimental equipment ), 2) Space CALS ( CALS demonstration test in USEF: the unmanned space experiment system research and development organization, virtual integration), and 3) challenges in Hokkaido Univ. ( establishment and composition of VSRL: the virtual space engineering research support center, a list of VSRL registered projects ). |
