Abstract; To evaluate cardiac function in patients with tetralogy of Fallot, is there any meaning to use heart rate? If there is any meaning, is it heart rate per minute, per hour, or per 24 hours? To solve these problems, a study was performed on 6 patients with tetralogy of Fallot using Holter ECG. The patients were classified into three age groups: Child group (10 years old), adolescence group (14-16 years old) and adult group (27 years old), The results of the study suggest that, in the evaluation of cardiac function of the patients with tetralogy of Fallot, it is convenient and recommendable to use the heart rate per hour if daily activity is taken into consideration, and to use the heart rate per minute if it is intended to judge cardiac reserve. In any case, it is meaningful to use heart rate in the evaluation of cardiac functions of the patients with tetralogy of Fallot. (author abst.)
