| Abstract;We have been constructing a pulsed MeV positron beam line(PUMPS: Pulsed MeV Positron Source). PUMPS can form a high-energy(1MeV) short-pulsed(100ps) positron beam. Study of bulk properties under extreme conditions with PALS(Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy) measurement becomes possible by using this beam. Fabrication of PUMPS was already completed, and the acceleration up to 1MeV was confirmed by using an electron beam. Beam diameter of 0.5mm, 150 ps-pulse width and low normalized emittance were also measured. (author abst.) |
