Abstract;Surface morphology for binary monolayer of fatty acids with different alkyl chain lengths was investigated on the basis of atomic force microscopic observations. It became clear that the miscibility in the monolayer depends on the difference in aggregation energy between hydrophobic groups. (author abst.)
