| Abstract;The reaction rate of lipase catalyzed hydrolysis of a substrate on lipid/cholesterol mixed monolayers at the air/water interface were examined. Upon correlating the lateral diffusion coefficients of reactants with the interfacial hydrolysis kinetics, it was shown that the catalytic reactions on the monolayers are diffusion-controlled.
