Abstract;The charge transfer complex of N,N,N',N'-tetramethylbezidine and 2-octadecyl-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane forms a stable Langmuir film at the air-water interface and its Langmuir-Blodgett films was successfully deposited at 10mNm-1. The spectroscopic studies show a novel orientation of the CT Chromophore in the LB films, which is quite different from those of CT thin films prepared by LB and donor doping techniques.
