Abstract;Viologen derivatives-modified aminoethanthiol on gold electrode have been examined by differential pulse voltammetry. The half-wave potential of viologen derivatives4+/2+ were shifted in the presence of hydroquinone sulfonate and Tiron. The equilibrium binding constants of charge-transfer complexes formed by receptor (bisparaquat) p-phenylene with aromatic compounds hydroquinone sulfonate and tiron were measured and examined on the specific interaction between aromatic compounds and redox-swichable viologen derivatives.
