| Abstract; In order to study the correlation between the asymmetric mass distribution and the shell structure of fission fragments, the fragment mass and energy distributions in the proton-induced fission of uranium isotopes, 233,235,238U, were accurately measured using the double time-of- flight method. It was found that the heavier asymmetric mass distribution shifted to heavier mass number with the fissioning nucleus mass number. The results would be originated from the increase of the mass number of the fragment with Z and that of the complementary light fragment with N. (author abst.) |
