Abstract;Velocity degradation processes were investigated for 7*Li with an initial kinetic energy of 840 keV produced via the 10B(n, alpha)7*Li reaction. With a lifetime of 0.1ps, 7*Li decays and emits the prompt gamma ray of 478 keV. The prompt gamma rays are emitted from the moving 7*Li ions, which leads to the Doppler broadened line shape. The degree of the Doppler broadening is expected to reflect the velocity degradation. In the present work, the 478keV-prompt gamma rays were measured and analyzed in boron compounds dissolved in mixed solvent such as methanol and benzene in order to clarify the influences of intermolecular interaction of solvent on the stopping power of charged particle.
