| Abstract;The 234U/238U activity ratios of 45 volcanic products from 6 volcanoes of Izu-Mariana island-arc and also, for comparison, those from Hawaian island and Iceland, a hot spot volcano and a mid oceanic ridge volcano, respectively, ranged from 0.96 to 1.04 forming a Gaussian distribution with the average value of 0.997 and the standard deviation of 0.014, indicating that the 238U-234U is in radioactive equilibrium in the erupting magmas from Izu-Mar iana island-arc volcanoes.
