Abstract;Recently, automatically controlled vehicles are expected as the solution of the problems which the automobile society holds, and various researches are advanced. Platoon has been studied as one form of the automated driving. As for the longitudinal control in the platoon, the stability in the platoon is important, when the high-density platoon is considered. The purpose of this research is to design the controller to improve the stability of the platoon. This paper proposes the controller that treats a spacing control as a vibration system and discusses the effect of sky-hook damper in vibration system. Simulations are conducted in the case of using only preceding vehicle information and using both preceding and following vehicle information. (author abst.)
