| Abstract;This paper describes short history and present status of accessible transport. Making the railway stations and the vehicles accessible is important for improvement of mobility of disabled and elderly people. Japan has already become to the aged society whose 65+ people rate exceeded 14% in 1994. Its rate of Japan is the highest in the world, thus the transport system also most to be accessible. People should know what is needed, how make it accessible, which has the best priority, and final target must be constructed as a grand-design. (author abst.) |
