Abstract;Four cases (27,37,38 and 27-year-old women) of endometriosis are presented, and the indication for the operation and pharmacotherapy in the treatment is discussed. Factors considered in the case of the operation indication (subjective symptom, wish for bearing the child, malignant finding, rapid increase, recurrence after the GnRH derivative use, effect of long-term pharmacotherapy on QOL, etc.) and the point of time of the operation indication are discussed. The important roles of the medical treatment practitioner are the synthetic judgement of operation indication factors, and to support the patient informed choice.
