Abstract;Injectable (I) ciprofloxacin (CPFX) is presented as an injectable antimicrobial agent of the new quinolone approved for the first time in Japan. ICPFX of the indication range is wider than that of peroral CPFX, and the indication is comparable to the carbapenem drug and the cephem drug of the fourth generation injection. As the knack and the cautionary note of the usage of ICPFX, special side effects (central nervous symptom, light allergy, drug interaction, etc.), limited indication, necessity of the intradermal test, etc. are shown.
