Abstract;Recently, floating track beds are used as railway track in order to reduce train vibration, especially structure-borne sound. That is a kind of spring-mass system. The floating track bed using coil springs is characterized by using coil springs which is integrated in the concrete slab. One 20m long test slab was constructed in "Rinkai" line and motor trolley running test was conducted in May, 2000. The concrete slab was designed with the authority of "design standard" as elastic supported beam. The concrete slab was constructed by cast in-situ on the invert and lifted 30mm up using hydraulic jack on a spring set, then, it was fixed on spring sets. (author abst.)
