| Abstract;When the brake performance test was carried out to reduce slips and during rheostatic brake, reverse rotating motion in wheels was observed. Traction motors are separated in two groups, and the field coils in one group motors are connected with the armatures in the other group motors to balance the both groups' motor torque. But current imbalance between both groups' circuits is caused when some wheels are rotating reversely or slipping. In this paper, the precise phenomena and the problems will be described.
